Contact the Archive
This archive is a work of preservation, and preservation is collaborative. If you stayed at the inn, photographed the house, worked in the Famous Department Store's orbit of Trinidad commerce history, or can correct anything on these pages — we would genuinely like to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
- Photographs of the house, inside or out, from any era — especially the inn years and anything predating the 1960s.
- Guest memories: breakfasts, the gallery, the Gables, the porch. First-hand texture is what archives lose first.
- Family and local history: Tarabino family connections, Famous Department Store ephemera, Engleville and Trinidad commercial records.
- Corrections. Where this archive errs, we would rather know than not.
How Contributions Are Used
Material shared with the archive is used to correct and enrich these pages, with contributors credited or kept anonymous as they prefer. We do not publish private information, we do not share correspondence with anyone, and where a contribution concerns living people we err on the side of leaving it out. Scans are preferred to originals — please don't mail anything irreplaceable; a photograph of a photograph is archive enough.

Please use the form below. We read everything, and we respond to contributions and corrections as quickly as a small volunteer project can.
About Bookings — Please Read
This website is an independent heritage archive. We are not the inn, we have no connection to its current owners or operators, and we cannot take, forward, or answer booking inquiries. The property remains in private operation; travelers seeking current accommodation in Trinidad should consult present-day travel listings and booking platforms, which this archive does not provide.
For the house's story, start with the history; for what the inn was like to stay in, the rooms and amenities pages preserve it best.
